After you accessed the admin area of your website click on My Marketing tools, Coupons and Virtual Gift Card tabs. You can create new gift card amounts and set their price to purchase online. It can be done for the required sales channel and in the required currency.

As a result, the gift card is available for purchasing on the front end under the link yourwebsite/catalog/gift-card. A customer can choose the design and the amount from the dropdown lists, write the personal message, specify the recipient’s name and email address, his/her name as well as choose the date for sending this gift card to the recipient.
